Diacutaneous fibrolysis is a non-invasive treatment of soft tissues that uses special devices (hooks) specifically designed for the treatment of a number of diseases of the musculoskeletal system (fascia, muscle, tendon and entheses) related to painful symptoms and / or functional deficit.

It is widely recognized that the reparative response of our organism may not always be physiological in case of acute muscle injuries, with our body sometimes leaving residual fibrous adhesions or nodules in the affected tissues. The fibrolysis technique aims at mechanically “unlocking” the body’s scarred structures, allowing for a thorough functional recovery of the anatomical districts involved.

 

The instruments of diacutaneous fibrolysis are constituted by a set of aluminum “hooks”, that are used to mechanically stimulate the patient’s tissues while maintaining a precise anatomical and functional orientation.

 The design of the hooks by BAC Technology has been refined in collaboration with a team of doctors and physiotherapists, who were able to directly instruct our designers on the specific construction properties required, in light of information extrapolated from their therapeutic expertise, technical knowledge and from the subject literature.

 

BAC Technology’s fibrolysis hooks have been designed considering the principles of natural handling and structural adaptability to the various anatomical parts of the patient and, as far as possible, to his comfort.  Their production has taken into consideration important principles of bioengineering, biomechanics and biocompatibility, thus enabling the therapist to treat the tissue with great precision and efficiency, while preserving both the integrity of the skin of the patient and the therapist’s manual skill.

 

The end of the hooks is designed with a special oval profile: this guarantees a dual functional aspect: detachment and superficial fascial manipulation, but also, with the same tools, treatment of more focalized structures at greater depths, using the sharper ends.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Despite being a relatively new therapeutic strategy, diacutaneous fibrolysis finds its roots in the practice of traditional medicine. The tecnique is widely used in orthopedics, rheumatology, physical medicine, chiropractic and physiotherapy. Its utilisation results indispensable in situations of difficult resolution that affect the soft tissues. This technique is used to treat not only outcomes of fibrosis, but also trigger points, myogelosis and muscle contractures.

 

Diacutaneous fibrolysis is a method of extraordinary therapeutic value; can in fact be used in a good part of the pathologies of the musculoskeletal system. Thanks to the tools developed and designed for this purpose, it is possible to appreciate and locate the presence of fibrous formations in the soft tissues and perform a treatment that, if performed by a qualified therapist, is generally well tolerated by the patient.

 

The effectiveness of this technique is found in the treatment of: scarring and keloids, adhesive capsulitis, epicondylitis  and numerous chronic diseases affecting the soft tissues.
