Eridano (1864), SC Armida (1869), SC Caprera (1883) and SC Esperia (1886) \u2013 the Italian Rowing Federation operates with the aim of promoting and developing the discipline both in Italy and internationally. Its activities are focused on improving competitive performance, enhancing the image of rowing, and safeguarding its historical, cultural, social, and economic values, with the objective of increasing its appeal to both the sports community and the business sector.<\/span><\/p>\n<div>\n<p>Particular emphasis is placed on the principles of social responsibility: through its widespread network of rowing clubs, rowing fosters inclusion by engaging people of all ages and abilities.<\/p>\n<p>Since the early 2000s, the Federation has also developed the coastal rowing sector. In 2005, the first international regatta was held in Noli (Savona); subsequently, Sanremo hosted the first three Italian Championships as well as the 2008 World Championships, followed by their return to Italy in 2011 in Bari.<\/p>\n<p>From the evolution of Coastal Rowing, the <strong>Beach Sprint<\/strong> discipline was born, officially presented at the Mediterranean Games in Pescara in 2015.
